Many people I know have just accepted the problems of telephone internet, Iphone, cellphones as a matter of fact.
They are not inherently unreliable, impossible to fix or impossible to understand. Those problems are the by-product of the system we have in place. I foresee the day when we will work our way out of this mess.
The problem is the by-product of having the phone network, the phone manufacturer, the phone seller and the phone operating system from different companies. AT&T is reasonable about sending Iphone problems to Apple but that is still a problem when the phone service, the Internet service and the wi-fi are interacting in an inexplicable way.
The best model of a functioning phone system is Blackberry. That is also what Blackberry users tell me.
I assume over time that we will end up with more Blackberry-like systems. I'm hoping for a Nokia product, with Nokia software and a Nokia managed cell network.
When the multiple components are from the same company, the chance for technical integration increases geometrically.
