I have a client in Tokyo with whom I worked on marketing her new consulting company.
The advice would be appropriate in the U.S., just as it is in Tokyo. Only it is more important and useful in Japan.
Noda's
staff goes into client's offices and often spend many days on the
client's premises. I want the Noda staffers to have a good chance of
meeting as many client employees as possible, for future business, as
the employees in the client company rise in the company hierarchy.
Proposal:
Noda's website have an extensive biography on each of the staffers that
go out to work on client's premises. The biography should offer as
much personal information as possible to allow client employees to
connect to the Noda staffer. Information such as high school, high
school clubs and activities, college and college clubs and activities,
favorite sports, hobbies, travel experiences and current neighborhood.
You
probably won't believe it, but just as I posted this blog I got an
email from Noda, with the most recent spread sheet. Since the
company website was changed the quarterly revenues have increased
dramatically.
