Our new president has saved the world. Interestingly, in thinking about this I realize that Americans have saved the very world we created in the first place; and for the same reasons.
In several long blogs I have made the point that is in the title of this blog, that modern commerce is built on meritocracy, diversity and openness. That the uniqueness of America is that these components of modern commerce came together in the vast opening of the West in our early history beginning after the Hamiltonian government was formed.
The West allowed people who were uncomfortable in the hereditary elite world of the East Coast and the South to escape. To create their own lives, using their own resources and individual ingenuity. And they came together voluntarily to help each other raise barns and create local government. The West was a melange of strangers working together, the purest definition of diversity, and the personal pistol and vast distances created an environment of openness.
It was that same ‘move West’ drive that united Americans to elect Donald Trump. Americans are rigorously individuals who hate to be told what to do and how to do it. Nothing is more un-American than the Post Cold War Democrat Party machines that apply union anti-meritocratic rules to everything and the lying drive-by-media that makes up news to try and control America. The world of academia, safe spaces, trigger warning, anti-free-speech looks insane to the strong part of America.
Not only did our core DNA elect Donald Trump, but the same core values seem to be driving him in office.
