This weekend in San Francisco was fleet week. Honoring the Navy which has always been close to San Francisco. Nothing the local socialist fanatic government can do to disrupt this historic affection. They try and try but have consistently failed.
One of the many highlights of fleet week are several aerial shows. One of which is the Navy precision fighter jet display, the Blue Angels.
I live on the side of hill that is a natural amphitheater. So sound in this half-mile diameter amphitheater is warm and mellow.
Several times over the past weekend I got to sit outside in the traditional late San Francisco Summer reading in a rocking chair.
The Blue Angels flew overhead. It is a deafening roar of jet engines. I let the sound reverberate in my chest and enjoyed the loud, deep power.
The awesome sound of jet fighter engines overhead can not be matched by any other species.
That is my sound. That is the sound of modern commerce and technology. And the military that is so dependent on both.
