In the Torah a number of people, Jacob, King David and Job, are described as tearing their garments when a loved one dies. This symbol of anguish is still found among Orthodox Jews.
There is such a thing as the social fabric. It is a good metaphor and related to the Biblical garment rending. The social fabric is the informal and unspoken connection among people of a common cohort. The boundaries of the social fabric are variable. When Peoples Temple members committed suicide with Jim Jones in Guinea the social fabric that was rent included the population of San Francisco and the Bay Area black community. When Islamic Arabs brought down the two World Trade Center towers, the fabric was all of America.
Today all the social fabric of America is rent. The reasons are many, but it mostly has to do with the perpetual lies of the Democrat Party leaders, especially concerning the Islamist threat to the world.
What happens when the social fabric is rent? People with a weak connection to the society around them become more than usually deranged.
In periods like this we get a dramatic increase in homicide, terrorism, out of control maniacs and social pathology. Think the Manson family and the assassination of leaders in the 1960's.
It’s here now. It’s happening.
