I have predicted many things in my life. My accuracy level is roughly 50%. Meaning I could be flipping a coin and be just as accurate.
When I am accurate and I have given my reasons in advance I have a tendency to treat my reasons as being connected to the predicted outcome. This may be wrong in some cases but it is probably right in most cases.
I predicted, when I first heard the promos for the new Arsenio Hall late-night comedy show, that the show would fail quickly. It did.
My prediction was based on a combination of two elements. First Arsenio Hall was sent into the tv wilderness about 10 years ago after his first TV show aired an interview with Louis Farrakhan that was mild to favorable for the evil monster himself. I doubted that Hall could ever redeem himself in the media world. I was wrong the media world has no concept of evil and treats Louis Farrakhan as just a trivial problem. I was certain there would still be plenty of American viewers who remember that Hall is a man with no moral judgment.
My second, and most powerful, reason was my belief that Americans have grown tired of the a president of the United States who is lying to them on a regular basis and is a vindictive, shallow and unpleasant person. Because Americans have become uncomfortable looking at this black president it is my projection that they do not want to see another black male face on television in front of them on a regular basis.
It was simply on the basis of these two observations that I predicted a failure for the new Arsenio Hall show.
I think Mr. Hall's failure is evidence of my logic. Americans are sick and tired of looking at the face of a failed black president.
