About 4 years ago I began receiving promotional material for a proposed new magazine about a Jewish review of books. I had long loved the New York Review of Books until it became so filled with Zyklon B ideology ( Jew hate) that I could no longer stomach it.
I went ahead and ordered my first subscription to the Jewish Review of Books and sent the magazine editor a note saying that I was very uncomfortable subscribing to anything Jewish because 2/3rds of the Jewish community voted for an openly Jew-hating leader, President Obama, and the Democratic-Union Party. I had no interest in allowing such offal into my house. I was willing to give the new magazine a chance to show that it was not part of the blind Jewish ideology that was so filled with self hatred.
To my delight and my wondrous amazement the Jewish Review of Books is not a piece for the self hating Jewish wing of the Jewish community. It is an imaginative, insightful and genuinely intellectual Review of Books. I am very grateful to the people who founded and run this review. They bring me pleasure with each edition. I look forward to the stimulus I can now find in my old fashioned mailbox.
