I'm sure that nearly all of my readers have been to a casino.
If you are not a gambler would you have any reason to go look at a new casino to see if it is different, interesting or might have some unusual architectural or design attributes?
That is the point of this blog.
When you step into a casino anywhere on the planet you are stepping into another world. Every place you step into that world, whichever entry door you use, you are stepping into exactly the same world. All casinos on this planet look alike.
I admit I have only been to casinos in about five different countries plus Monaco and Jamaica.
They all look the same. They all sound the same and they all smell the same.
I doubt that cigarettes will ever be outlawed in casinos or that alcohol service will be eliminated. Casinos have a color, a color pattern and cigarettes and alcohol in common. Somehow or other in this gambling world the ingredients that go with the gambling are almost the same all over the world.
Just an observation. I don't know what leads people to gamble and I would be embarrassed to speculate.
The only test I know of was done by a friend of mine on bingo. Bingo is not a universal gambling game. My friend turned the winning awards for each bingo match into something humiliating. One award was an elegant toilet seat, another was a certificate for a new girdle from a local store. The audience in these bingo games went wild and applauded the winners. My friend found that humiliation seemed to be a gambling motivation in bingo.
The rest of the world of gambling is a mystery to me.
