Recent news reports indicate that a high proportion of drug problems and drug enforcement are now focused on painkillers.
I personally have tried many drugs. Those include the wide range of mood enhancers such as cocaine, uppers, sexual stimulants and drugs that stimulate physical sensations over mental images. I have also tried a variety of psychedelics.
I have also been addicted to painkillers such as hydrocodone and oxycodone.
It was difficult to get off of these painkillers after I had had a two month long bout of pain and surgery.
What distresses me is that painkillers are precisely what they are called. Painkillers. They are very poor at enhancing mood. They are primarily good at killing pain.
If a large part of our population is trying to kill their pain with pills, they have my sympathy not my belligerent antagonism.
How about you?
Should people who are trying to kill their pain with drugs really be forced to continue suffering?
Why are we trying to eliminate illegal painkillers?
