You probably know that California has the strictest air pollution commission in America (arb).

It turns out that having regulated everything including barbecues and fireplace fires, there appears to the nothing left to regulate to reduce air pollution any further. I suggest that most air pollution at this point is natural. It is particles that occur in the air as the air mass passes over ocean, trees and land.

The California air pollution commission is so desperate to reduce emissions of any sort they are proposing a 55 mile an hour speed limit for driving in the state of California.

This should tell you what incompetent ignorant people choose to serve on government agencies. No person I know, even Lefty eco-freaks, intends to drive on freeways at 55 mph.

The hard core measurable facts on driver behavior are available by comparing the Golden Gate Bridge in the San Francisco Bay to the Bay Bridge. The speed limit on the Golden Gate Bridge is 45 mph and it is observed by drivers because the two lanes of opposite direction traffic are adjacent. Drivers want to save their own lives. When the 45 mph speed limit was posted on the Bay Bridge it was completely ignored because drivers saw no justification.

We will control air pollution to a much greater extent by praying, dancing and getting drunk at Indian celebrations.
