Two things you should probably know. One is that Democrat Woodrow Wilson had a propensity to start wars. He started 14 wars. Our current president seems to be an heir to that Democrat tradition.
Secondly, you probably didn't read Samantha Power's 2003 book on genocide. I did. At the time I was incensed at her absurd position.
Samantha took the Harvard arrogant position that the United States could stop genocide by placing a small contingent of troops in the way of genocidal forces. But being from Harvard she was opposed to every other form of military action and strongly opposed the Iraqi invasion.
This woman now gets to play with the lives of American soldiers in her fantasy of sending a few troops to stop genocidal tribal warfare.
Her ivory tower theory is wrong. Tribal people are capable of using a wide range of guerrilla tactics and they will either destroy us on the ground or suck us into a Vietnam or Somalia type of conflagration.
This president is susceptible to advice from elite, arrogant, Harvard snobs, for obvious reasons.
