Following on to the
last blog, we are in a period where democratic government is in deep
trouble.
The German Reichstadt can barely form a majority government, the Dutch haven't been able to do so as of today, the Australians have failed, the Brits and the Canadians are governing based on tiny pluralities and the Japanese aren't even close.
Modern democratic government does not have the support of the governed.
Unfortunately the one correct answer is to have true representation (random selection of legislators). The public doesn't know enough about the solution to enact it.
We are in for a long period of political misery until the solution is implemented.
