I
confess to being baffled by a phenomenon that is very hurtful: good
individual people when in an organized crowd can be social monsters.
How is this possible?
Nurses,
firemen, ambulance drivers, and special education teachers are
compassionate as individuals. But their unions harm the society
around them openly and regularly.
Nurses
union members regularly sabotage hospitals prior to a strike, fireman
pass laws to keep their stations open despite having three times more
stations than safety requires.
All these compassionate unions go out of their way to vote for state and federal legislation that impedes business, stifles employment, retards community development and supports outmoded socialist ideology.
Why?
