worked with ex-felons for eleven years and they all had one distinct
characteristic: they would not let anyone take a picture of them.
I don't know the reason for that over-sensitivity to photo taking, most ended up back in prison anyway. The reason, I presumed, was to not let probation officers know where or what they were doing; nor who they were hanging out with. But that is a guess.
I no longer have any ex-felon associates (that I know of), but I hope some of my readers can bring me up to date on this issue.

taking photos with the phones, at all times, I am wondering how
ex-felons are responding to the new environment.
