Intelligence and political party

In a blog I wrote nearly three years ago, I announced that I had figured out a way to measure the relative IQs of Republicans and Democrats.  I'm pretty sure Republicans will come out higher.

That blog has gotten pages of comments and still gets more comments regularly.

I love this opinion contest (about my blog on IQs) because the facts could be known if any researcher really cared. 

In any case a blog at the University of Minnesota has examined the academic level of President Obama's State of the Union speech.  This supposed great orator comes out near the bottom of the list as a complex thinker, at the 8th grade level, below George W. Bush and below the average for American presidents. 

The only excuse a Lefty can give is that Obama was directing his speech at Congress.  That makes sense since Congress is overwhelmingly Democrat.
