Morality and animals

There are two of my past blogs that have comments worth reading.  One is on the inclusion of pets in the human moral system, the comments are well thought out con and pro (I'm on the con side) and the other is on the Goody-goody program of using government to expand control of our behavior (which is the basis of the new Lefty ideology...I'm also against that).  In the second case, look at David Boxenhorn's interesting take.
