How many languages are commonly spoken in Afghanistan and the Philippines?
In Afghanistan the major languages are Eastern Farsi, Southern Pashto, Hazaragi, Turkmen, Southern Uzbek, Aimaq and three other languages spoken by 200,000 people.
In the Philippines the major languages are: Filipino, English, Bikol, Cebuano, Hiligaynon, Ilocano, Maguindanao, Pampangan, Pangasinan and Waray-Waray all spoken by more than 1 million people.
I question whether Afghanistan will ever be a country. Most people I know, who have spent time in the Philippines, doubt that the Philippines is a nation. It might not be if weren't separated from neighbors by ocean.
