Not as ignorant as the rest of western journalists

I've said before and I'll say it again: China has a long perspective on international relations.  China is now thinking 40 years into the future and the following blog makes clear, she can think back 170 years too.

I don't want my readers to be as ignorant as the entire American mass media and our so-called-professional journalists.  I assume nearly all my readers know the history of the Opium Wars. 

Twice in the early and mid-1800s Great Britain went to war with China for a total of about seven years to force China to allow British traders to sell opium in China.  Britain force China at gun point to allow Brits to sell opium in China.  China had a ban on opium then and now.

Now, when England is particularly incensed about Akmal Shaikh (who has an obvious British name like Thomas Bingham, Harry Hamilton and James Edington) being executed for drug selling in China, China responds with a rather furious threat to Britain based on its "bitter memory of history."

I'm proud of the Chinese in this case and ashamed of the Brits, the vast American mass media and the global Amnesty fruitcakes. China remembers and arrogant jew-hating Britain has never thought of asking for forgiveness.
