Just a few inches of pleasure

In the high end hotels I've been in lately where a shower and tub are combined, it is common to find the shower rod is curved outward a few inches in the middle so there is a feeling of much more room at shoulder height.  Not true at less expensive hotels.

Why not?

At my home, where I found no curved shower rods long enough, I just moved the straight rod out further a few inches getting the same effect.

Every hotel and motel should try this if they combine the shower and tub.
