If you don't know what HB1 is you're fortunate. HB1 is the main visa a few 100k foreign skilled workers use to work in the U.S. We need millions of skilled foreign workers, not because of low wages they don't get them (they just don't squander their earnings like Americans), but because they have talent and work hard.
Besides, our work force is over 115 million and at the most we could barely get 1 million foreign skilled workers. One million is less than 1% of the work force, for all those Congressional ideologues who have their brains floating in a backed-up union toilet and can't do the math.
