California Academy of Propaganda

I went to the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park.  The large exhibit on global warming is not science by any stretch of the imagination. 

The exhibit is pure unadulterated propaganda.  There is not one shred of science or data in the 1,400 square foot exhibit. No opportunity is missed to distort, exaggerate or fabricate the propaganda. 

Two examples: 1) while several hundred square feet are dedicated to proclaiming the demonic and horrific harm of releasing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere only 1/4 square inch mentions nuclear power use in South Africa (photo on left). Mentions it.  No mention is made of using nuclear power as an alternative to carbon dioxide release.  Even died-in-the wool global scaring environmentalists are willing to discuss nuclear power.

 2) The whole exhibit is dedicated to scaring children into being barefoot, vegetarian enviro-nuts so no mention can be found anywhere of any global temperature history before 1950.

I was permitted to address a large class of 4th graders, because I had been talking to the staff docent and the class teacher.  I pointed to the map on the wall showing a large white spot.  I said that the ice covered island is named Greenland because in 1008CE, 1000 years ago, the settlers there were growing Midwestern American crops of wheat and rye.  England at the time grew Mediterranean crops.  A thousand years ago the average global temperature was higher than anyone expects the earth to get in the next 150 years.  That is all I needed to say to raise serious questions about the whole propaganda exhibit.

Just like the worst Nazi propaganda, the California Academy of Propaganda ridicules scientists who question the pure ideology of the exhibit.  (See bottom photo on the right of a cartoon which says it is too late to do more research on global warming).
