We haven't started the new Democratic administration, in fact the election was only a month ago and so far we have: (1) Charlie Rangel,
the Democratic chair of the committee that sets taxes and determines
the U.S. budget who doesn't know which tax laws apply to him, (2) a
Democratic Illinois governor who sold a Senate seat to Jessie Jackson
Jr for $1 million before the story leaked out, (3) the SEIU
a major union backbone in Democratic politics with its finger in the
Illinois senate seat scandal and a fraudulent non-profit in Los Angeles and (4) a
major Democratic Party donor, Bernie Madoff, who stole the largest amount of money in human history, greater than everyone else combined in the past century.
Frankly, I don't see how the size of the Madoff theft was possible. All investment funds must be audited and so are all licensed brokers.
This is a great time for news and it is just beginning. The Democratic Party is historically the party of corruption, which you would know if you know history. And the history we know is all before the Internet and blogs got fully underway. Four weeks and so far we are covered in corruption slime. How can we make it to the Inaugural Ball?
This is not to mention the global financial meltdown and the bailouts which are competing for news coverage.
The good news about corruption is that for the first time since the state was founded, the Louisianans refused to elect an indicted politician. (Rep. 'Freezer' Jefferson defeated).
