The mother of my new granddaughter attended some "mommy and me" classes in infant care recently. She reports that a main subject of discussion was about getting or not getting childhood innoculations.
The main innoculations these days are polio, tetanus, diptheria, mumps, measles, rubella, varicella, hep 1 and 2, type B flu and pertussis.
The reason many of these mothers, in a sophisticated new age, urban area, were discussing not getting these shots for their infant was the risk of causing autism.
If you haven't seen one of these illnesses in a fellow human, much less an infant, you might waste your time considering the incompetent nonsense that presents itself as showing an innoculation cause for autism. If you had seen any of the life altering consequences of any of these diseases, you wouldn't consider any anecdotal evidence to dissuade you from getting the full set of innoculations.
My contribution to this matter is that any parent who fails to get their child innoculated against pertussis (whooping cough) is commiting child abuse.
I have seen a 3 yearold with pertussis. You can see it online for yourself. Any parent who has seen it has put it online to warn others. A child with pertussis sounds like it is about to die every three minutes for weeks.
The parents of the child I saw, close to death every three minutes for weeks, promptly got a divorce. The parent who had decided against the innoculation was someone the other parent could never again live with.
To not get your child innoculations is child abuse....vicious child abuse that can last a lifetime, it the child survives the disease.
