I went to today's anti-war rally in San Francisco with two signs saying what you see in the photo on the right "America has won the Iraq war."
I was a little anxious about the reaction of the crowd and promptly found the counter-protesters with American and Israeli flags. There were about 50 counter protesters, many of whom quickly understood my message. There were about 15-18,000 anti-war protesters at the beginning. They were joined by 5-7,000 union protesters arriving in a small parade. Total 20-25,000.
I'm not surprised to see the union support. The unions made up the bulk of the Seattle anti-globalization demonstration. Unions are themselves losers and seem to be attracted to losing propositions.
I had nothing to fear from the anti-war demonstrators. Nobody seemed to understand my posters. Even some Code Pinkies came to ask me what my sign meant and they listened politely. About 200 people took photos of me and my signs; Channel 4 and an Internet site interviewed me.
