The most grim future Jewish reality is generated by a brilliant thinker at Yale, Charles Small.
A discussion of his observations are in the Jerusalem Post. Here is a cogent paragraph:
"...progressive European thinkers who are mindful of fascism and the extreme elements of nationalism that we saw in WWII, have created a whole body of thought that tries to move away from nationalism. They speak of hybridity, post-modern notions of identity, that we're all part of this grey group. It's an attempt to move away from nationalism.
"......From a European hybrid, cosmopolitan perspective ..... Jews' refusal to assimilate is a problem for those who believe in this postmodern notion of hybridity.
".....At the same time, the Middle East is witnessing "a rise in essentialist identities, in very narrow notions of Islam, in which Jews are considered outsiders, cosmopolitans colonizing Muslim lands. So Jews are stuck between two emerging forces - they're getting it from radical Islamicists for being foreign elements in their midst, and from the European Left for sticking to their identity."
With European elites, and Lefties hating Jews (the EU members haven't defended Israel for forty years) and Arabs on a genocidal warpath against Jews that leaves America as the only substantive ally of Israel.
American Jews have the most horrible history of defending Israel or Jews anyone can imagine*. Even today, the majority of American Jews are too misanthropic to appreciate the greatest friend Jews have had in 2,500 years (G.W. Bush). American Jews as a whole are not the friends of Jews outside America.
That paints a grim picture of a Jewish future.
*Read the history of Hillel Kook's failed effort trying to awaken American Jews to the Holocaust and remember that the American Jewish Committee opposed Israel into the late 1950s.
