There is a word whose translation gives me trouble. The word comes from the Arabic, "hudna" which is translated as "truce."
But the meaning has nothing to do with the English conception of truce, otherwise why would the current Gaza Hamas "hudna" include a daily barrage of missiles fired at Israeli towns? Hudna appears to mean both a rebuilding of supplies and no cessation of attacks on non-Moslems. Or just a flat out lie.
Any Arabic speakers who want to join in on this one?
