Parrots

A few years back there was a documentary made about the parrots of Telegraph Hill.  I wrote a blog about it, pointing out that the theme was close to my heart: a simple living hippy (Mark Bittner) being converted to a 1099 lifestyle by a woman (Judy Irving) who was great at raising foundation money for her film.

There are three flocks of parrots in San Francisco.  One nests next door to my house on its periodic rounds.  Another, apparently, stops near the Embarcadero as shown in this photo with school kids visiting them close-up.  Click to enlarge.
