Today's announcement that the new president of Harvard comes from a background of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences makes it clear that Harvard is not a university in the top rank of American Universities. At this moment, I can't think of another university that is. Maybe that is the reality, that the top rank doesn't exist anymore in academia.
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard is a cesspool of 19th
Century ideology. They now run Harvard. The term University is
inappropriate when applied to such a disgusting council. There are
some good faculty members at Harvard, but they are few and far
between. That same statement is accurate for a dozen "schools of
post 12th grade studies."
I foresaw this development two years ago long before the Larry Summers scandal.
