The Democrats have a problem that I haven’t seen discussed anywhere.
Between the 2000 and the 2004 presidential elections, the proportion of Democrats who graduated from high school and those who had some college declined compared to Republicans. The proportion of Democrats who graduated and went to college declined from 52% to 46% while the Republicans rose from 48% to 54%.
With a steady increase in the educational level of Americans, it doesn’t look like the Democrats are benefiting, even with most of the Ivy League schools in the grip of an anti-American fever. (Table 386 pp 247)
