Self-hatred is an unusual psychological phenomenon. Most of my readers have no idea what it is about.
Jews have no problem recognizing and dealing with self-hatred, it is very common among Jews.
I don't propose any theories about self hatred. I only recognize and report that it happens to people who believe that some people around them are hostile. That is all it takes to generate self hatred.
It is hard to live with people around you who are hostile. The way most self-haters deal with their emotions is to try and assimilate, as blacks say...try to "pass".
The way to avoid self-hatred when there are hostile people around you is to appreciate yourself, if you can. To cope with anti-Americanism which certainly exists in the world to some extent, you have to be proud to be an American.
Simple. Hard for people who don't really appreciate their lives or their country or their fellow countrymen.
