I worry about having the Mark Twain judgment made about me in the future. Mark Twain wrote so much over such a long period of time that it is possible to find something he wrote that will offend several of our modern sensibilities. Twain was on the wrong side of many issues from our current perspective.
I write a great deal, I express opinions about many subjects and it is the necessary quality of history that I will invariably be on the wrong side of many issues and probably on the wrong side of some major issues.
I know my parents, being lefties, were on the wrong side of history, but they could not have known how socialism and communism would fail so pathetically.
Nevertheless, I have made a few major contributions and I hope my egotistical desire to be heard on nearly everything else will not condemn me to the future opprobrium of scholars and historians.
