Roughly a year ago I wrote a blog about a hair pomade that
kept me from going bald. It was Charles Antell’s Formula #9.
A reader kindly sent me a spoonful (the product hasn’t been on the market for over fifty years.) It is lanolin with some additive. I ordered a jar of pure lanolin for comparison.
I then set about finding a mass spectrometer that would analyze the pomade and the pure lanolin to determine the difference. I never found a mass spectrometer in the Bay Area that I could use.
Do you have one, have access to one, or know of one that can be used for under $200? Readers are asking for a duplicate of the original pomade.
