Two doorways give my readers a sense of life in the Castro District in San Francisco.
The first on the right is a travel store with suitcases etc. Apparently many people must step into the doorway to use their cell phones. The small letters make an exception for the people who treat the doorway as a phone booth. They are welcome if they are Superman or Superwoman changing clothes and want to enter the doorway without their clothing on.
The image on the left is a flower shop specializing in orchids. It seems that orchids and the delicate storeowner who sells them are sensitive to the milliamp radio waves transmitted to and from cell phones. Small print makes it clear this anti-cell phone position is an environmental statement. "Dogs and bikes are welcome."
