Tokyo
Lee goes to a coffee shop I like. He
makes his living with language arbitrage. A good enough living to
take three-month vacations.
Lee reads Japanese and buys and sells
stamps on the Japanese Yahoo auction site. He does arbitrage between
Yahoo Japan and eBay US. He knows the stamp market well. When the
price differential is great enough between the Japanese language and
the English language markets, he buys and sells. Stamps are low cost
to ship, which is helpful; the Yen fluctuates relative to the dollar
and right now Lee almost has the arbitrage market to himself.
If you know two languages well and you are an expert in some collectors' field, shouldn't you be doing language arbitrage?
