Business Week has the latest list of S&P 500 corporations. The fun findings are that the biggest vehicle company is Caterpillar ($32.4 billion market value); Harley-Davidson ($18.1) is about to pass General Motors ($20.1) in size. Close on their tail is John Deere tractor company ($17.6).
The majestic New York Times ($5.3) is about the same size as Toys r'Us and Liz Claiborne.
Starbucks ($20.1) is the same size as General Motors; It is also bigger than Office Max, plus Office Depot, plus Delta Airlines, plus Nordstrom.
Hersey Foods ($15.5) is bigger than Sears-Roebuck; its also bigger than Molson-Coors Brewing Company combined with Clorox.
