The number of street people that I see on Market Street, when I walk to North Beach in the morning, is way up. The highest number in two years.
But that is not the point of this blog. There were a high number of loonies, people acting out, this morning. This seems like a warning of imminent social danger. (See the blog on the current hysteria)
The last time I saw this phenomenon was in the week before Mayor George Moscone was murdered by Dan White. That was a time when the city was distressed from daily newspaper reports about increasing numbers of deaths at Jonestown.
