My expert witness testimony against PG&E may be of interest. Pacific Gas and Electric is in bankruptcy. To get out of bankruptcy the company needs the utilities regulator (CPUC; Calif. Public Utilities Commission) to approve a long-term electric rate increase. To win the CPUC’s support in getting out of bankruptcy, PG&E has offered to donate 140,000 plus acres of conservation land to a non-profit with $70 million to take care of the land.
My testimony suggests that the whole proposal by PG&E is a sham.
