The title of this blog says it all.
I love watching parcour, people running, jumping and bouncing off of everything.
Now kids have ultra play safety in a bubble around them. The playgrounds are rubber and netting.
I’ve watched kids find whatever part of the playground has rocks, high places and any danger they can scout out.
Kids want danger and reality. Parcour is what they have to wait for to get a taste of life.
I hear some parents are letting their kids take parcour classes. But a class is not a place where a kid can experience real life.
George Leonard once argued that fear of lawsuits is what has turned our nation into snowflakes. He may have been right.
