Today's headline is: "
BELFAST, Northern Ireland – Masked and hooded Belfast Catholics hurled gasoline bombs, fireworks and other makeshift weapons at police Monday as the most bitterly divisive day on the Northern Ireland calendar reached an ugly end."
The current Roman Catholic Pope, Benedict the 16th, like all the other popes in the past 60 years, has offered several thousand words a year to admonish the Jews of Israel in correct behavior, never condemning the Arabs who promote the (careful, moderate) Israeli responses.
But will you ever hear a Roman Catholic pope admonish the Roman Catholic terrorists (hooded) in Belfast and Northern Ireland? Not until Hell and Purgatory both freeze.
Alex,
The issue remains the same. The Pope blames Israel for everything. He could blame the Protestants if his theology was consistent. I think he has a bad case of 1,500 year old Jew hate which trumps 500 year old Protestant hate.

I think it's important to put things into perspective here. The Catholics in Belfast referred to here are violently protesting the annual Orangemen Parade which takes over the main streets of cities throughout Northern Ireland. (A fact conveniently left out of this blog entry).
The Orangeman have been perpetrators of as much thuggery as have the Catholics in Northern Ireland.
This annual event is a charade and disgrace. In effect, it celebrates the conquering and subjugation of Catholics on the island. How do you expect the Catholics to respond?

Interesting too, how the MSM refer to them as "nationalist" protesters. In Israel if they take to the streets they are of course "ultra-nationalists", or even "extremist ultra-nationalists".
